A Few Words About Me...

I’m Michael Imlay, a professional writer whose background runs the gamut from public relations and marketing communications to consumer and trade journalism. Over the years, my work has appeared in a variety of local and national venues.

Born and raised in the Angeleno suburbs, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies/Philosophy from St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo, California. After two additional years of graduate work, I moved to the City of Angels proper, building a career in publishing, editorial and business communications.

As a freelancer, I currently enjoy feature writing, photography and blogging for new and traditional media, as well as creating quality PR and Marketing Communications materials for a variety of clients. As a writer, I especially enjoy interviewing and researching diverse people and topics, then relating that experience to my audience through engaging and compelling copy.
