It wasn't that long ago in our collective past that we can all recall a day when there were no plastic bags readily available for dog owners to pick up their Pooch's "residoo". They picked up poop then too (well most did anyways) the lazy bunch didn't attempt until the big bad city governments started passing fines against it. Bad Government! Bad Government!! I would assume that you would be rejoicing in this latest LA City Council decision. This being the 2nd largest city in the country, it will open up a huge gap in the market...Hmmm! Here comes human ingenuity and good old fashioned American entrepreneurship to the rescue. In the meantime I am certain that Doggie Walkers from The Palisades to Echo Park can content themselves with using heavy duty paper bags, plastic drink containers (which have not been banned unfortunately), and heck even Trader Joes reusable bags. :) As far as the city government not considering solving our budget woes, I offer the following for your consideration: http://articles.latimes.com/2012/may/24/local/la-me-holland-20120524 Happy Memorial Day Weekend. No worries about stepping in doggy poo, Pasadena as of yet has not considered such a ban. :D Oh, those poor poor dog owners whatever shall they do? My father was George Feliz, his father was Arthur (perhaps Arturo) Feliz, his father was 100% Spanish, and his mother was 100% Navajo...does that matter? I have no idea, lol. I was told by a writer a few years back that there is a parade/celebration held in Los Feliz every year, possibly in February, honoring the Rancho Los Feliz decendants. If you have any info on this or anything else, please feel free to share it with me as well. email@marcfeliz.com I had been told by my father that we were also decendants of the Rancho Los Feliz family, but I believe the names we heard about were possibly that of Jose Vicente Feliz rather than Don Antonio Feliz. Maybe I can add more to what information you have. I gave up for awhile and am now back at it. We have moved to Carson City, NV . I have made some good contacts re: Cyrus Lyon and family. Let me know what you might need . I still have not found a connection to Petra Feliz Sanchez, but I still believe there is one somewhere. She died while some of her children were still rather young. I have been searching family connections to see if anyone of them ended up living with them. I know that when her last child (my relative Vincent Lyons)) died that he was living with his sister Mary Hossman. He met and married my grandmother in San Francisco and I know some of Marys children were living there also. Sometimes it crosses my mind that they might have been put in an orphanage. That is my next hunt.... I have alot of information on the families you mentioned.
